It could be said that cultivating and experiencing a sense of space within is a goal of yoga and spiritual practices. In the “Holding Space” Retreat we will explore what constitutes space, and how to cultivate it within the practice and within life. The retreat will include sessions on Vedanta (philosophy), Bhakti Yoga (devotional practices such as chanting), Hatha Yoga and Meditation and Karma Yoga (selfless service).

Vedanta is considered the great philosophy and ultimate reality, which underlies the practices of yoga. Vedanta is personal as well as a perspective on the world. It is immensely practical, helping us directly, in moments of difficulty, as well as transcendent. It requires only that we are willing to, in any situation, press pause for the briefest moment, and consider.

Join us for two light-hearted days of yoga, meditation, philosophy, kirtan and service, as well as time for reflection in the countryside and on the farm. It’ll be fun too! All are welcome. No experience necessary.

The weekend includes a Bhakti Yoga event on Sunday with Kirtan artist Brenda McMorrow. http://brendamcmorrow.com
